The Ontario Swim Academy (OSA) accepts applications via email as follows:
- Send Swim Ontario and email telling us about yourself and why you wish to be a member of the OSA to Karen Wilson
- The application process is outlined here.
- In order for your application to be considered you must have achieved at least one of the following OSA Consideration Times
Ontario Para Swim Academy
Whether you are a new or experienced para swimmer the Ontario Para Swimming Academy is here to provide additional training and support through coaching and sport science expertise that will help you advance in the realm of para swimming. Through athlete engagement and individualized skill development, the Ontario Para Swimming Academy is designed to improve performance of our para swimmers in Ontario.
OPSA Application Procedure 2021-22:
The following steps are an outline of the of the application process for taking part in the OPSA training environment.
- Athlete/Parent Inform home coach of swimmers interest in the OPSA program
- Home coach or swimmer/parent contacts Swim Ontario Karen Wilson at karen@swimontario.com
- Karen will inform club and/or family of what the next steps are to register.
- Inform the family that Swim Ontario will be communicating with their home club throughout the process
- Lead coach Don Burton will reach out to home coach and/or athlete to discuss the athlete’s daily training.
Registration Requirements:
- Athlete must be registered and training with a home club
- Training at OPSA can only take place with the support of an athletes home coach/club
- Athlete must have completed the entire OPSA registration process before attending any training sessions.
