Job Opportunity - Ontario Swimming Academy Head Coach

POSITION: Ontario Swimming Academy (OSA) Head Coach

The OSA program is designed to develop athletes towards top international performances by enhancing their daily training environment with a very extensive Integrated Support Team (IST) with specialists in physiotherapy, massage therapy, mental performance, biomechanics, physiology, nutrition and strength and conditioning.   The OSA Head Coach will have an important role in the development and delivery of Swim Ontario’s Provincial Performance Program. The OSA Head Coach will work closely with Swim Ontario Staff and its Performance Partners.


  • The OSA Head Coach will be under the direction of the Performance Programs Manager who will be responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the Ontario Swimming Academy.


  • A proven track record in developing swimmers to the podium at Junior World Championships/Youth Olympics, European Junior Championships or an Olympic finalist result level.
  • Proven experience working within a multiple stakeholder, high performance development environment. (i.e. training centre, training academy or intensive training program )
  • A minimum, certification at NCCP level 3 or international equivalent.
  • Excellent computer and presentation skills

This is a permanent, full-time, Toronto-based position, with Swim Ontario at the new state of the art Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre

  • Our ideal candidate will be able to start work for a September 15, 2016 timeframe.
  • However the start date can be somewhat flexible for the right candidate.
